Youth unemployment statistics in the 2020 Labour Force Survey shows that around 8,6 million people aged 15 to 34 years are not in education and are not employed. June is Youth Month in South Africa and the Government is encouraging the entire country to participate in Youth Month by recognising the present and future role of the youth in shaping the socio-economic landscape of the country.
Kruger Shalati is committed to community upliftment and growth as well as youth development and empowerment. As part of our ongoing transformation initiatives, we’ve set ourselves targets and goals for our recruitment and training drives. Here’s how we’ve fared from 2020 to 2021. We’re so proud to say we’ve managed to employ 162 youth employees – most from the surrounding communities.
